날씨가 매우 더워졌습니다. 이제 완전히 여름입니다.
알리는 말씀:
이번달에 요한복음 설교가 마무리 됩니다. 요한 복음 공부를 통하여서, 예수님의 죽음과 부활이 우리 삶에 어떤 의미가 있는지 배웠습니다. 다음 번에 공부할 책은 예레미야와 예레미야 애가 입니다. 하나님의 계획하심 가운데, 유스 수련회와 비슷한 시기에 새로운 시리즈를 시작하게 된 것 같습니다. 저와 선생님들께서 함께 기도하는 것은, 우리 학생들이 유스 수련회에서 하나님께서 얼마나 놀라우신 분이심을 알아서 그들의 마음에 하나님에 대한 거룩한 경외함으로 가득차서, 하나님을 더욱 사랑하게 되는 것입니다.
이렇게 성장하고 있습니다:
2023-2024 Youth leadership team (SALT Team) 과 찬양팀에 지원하는 싸인업이 시작되었습니다. 이 두 팀은 상당한 시간의 헌신이 필요하기 때문에, 학생들과 부모님들이 싸인하기 전에 잘 읽어보시면 좋겠습니다. 자녀분들이 리더쉽팀이나 찬양팀에서 섬기기 원하시면, 싸인업하는 양식을 쓰고, 싸인을 해서 대니 전도사님에게 이번 달 말까지 제출해 주시기 바랍니다. SALT 리더쉽은 10학년 이상만 할 수 있습니다. 찬양팀은 음악에 재능이 있는 학생은 누구나 할 수 있습니다.

강사 소개: Caleb Wade
“제 이름은 Caleb Wade 이고, 저는 Louisburg, NC 에서 태어나고 자랐습니다. 저는 여동생들이 (15, 14, and 11살) 3명이 있고, 저는 대학교 이번해에 대학교 3학년이 됩니다. 제가 하는 프로그램은 디모데 학자라고도 불리는, BA와 신학석사과정을 5년에 마치는 프로그램입니다.
학교일로 바쁘지 않을 때는, HVAC (냉난방 관련된 기술자) 에서 일합니다. 제 취미는 피아노, 좋은 영화보기, 철학책 읽기 등입니다. 저는 Jenna 라는 여자친구와 1년 조금 넘게 교제하고 있고, 제 여자친구는 간호를 공부하고 있습니다. 저는 5년동안 Faith Baptist Church에서 신앙생활을 하고 있습니다. 유스와 성인 찬양팀에서 섬기고 있고, 9학년 반을 가르치고 있고, 중학생과 고등학생들이 함께 참여하는 수요일 유스 모임을 인도하고 있습니다.
주님께서 저를 전임사역으로 부르셨고, 미국안에서나 해외에서, 교회 개척, 부흥을 위해서 교회/목회 사역으로 섬기기 원하는 소원과 은사들을 주셨습니다.

VBS 자원봉사 |

올해 여름성경학교를 위해서, 유스 자원봉사자를 찾고 있습니다. VBS를 도우면서, 학생들이 아이들과 즐거운 시간을 갖고, 또 교회를 섬기며, 학교에서 요구하는 자원봉사 시간도 (service hours for community service) 채울 수 있습니다. 목, 금요일: 5:30-8:15pm 토요일: 10-12:30pm 관심 있는 학생들은 대니 전도사님께 문의 바랍니다. |

기도제목
- 여름수련회를 위한 준비들이 잘 진행될 수 있도록, 그리고 학생들이 주님을 인격적으로 만날 수 있도록 마음에 준비되도록 기도해 주세요.
- 제가 설교를 준비하고, 유스 activity를 계획하고 준비하는데 지혜와 하나님의 인도하심을 따라 할 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.
- 유스 선생님들이 맡겨진 학생들을 잘 제자훈련하고 사랑으로 잘 돌볼수 있도록, 하나님께서 힘과 격려를 주시길 기도해 주세요.

Dear church,
It’s becoming extremely hot and it is clear that Summer is fully upon us.
Announcements:
This month we will be finishing up our preaching series through the gospel of John. During the course of our learning, we have talked about what Jesus’ death and resurrection means for our own lives. Our next preaching series will be going through the books of Jeremiah and Lamentations. I feel that the timing is providentially aligned with the upcoming youth retreat. As we plan and pray the youth teachers and I are hoping that the students return from this retreat with a deeper appreciation for how awesome God is and are filled with a holy fear that strengthens their love for Him.
How we are growing:
Sign ups for the 2023-2024 Youth leadership team (SALT Team) and Praise Team have been distributed. Because both of these groups require a significant amount of commitment, the sign up forms are meant to be read and signed by the parents. If your child is interested in serving on either the praise team or the SALT team, please have them fill out a form and return it to Danny 전도사님 before the end of the month. SALT team is restricted to 10th grade and above. Praise team is open to all grades for those who have musical talent.

Speaker Bio: Caleb Wade
“Hi! My name is Caleb Wade and I was born and still live in Louisburg, NC. I have three younger sisters who are 15, 14, and 11. I am a rising junior at the College at Southeastern in the 5 year BA/MDiv in Pastoral Ministry program, also known as the Timothy Scholars.
When I’m not busy with school, I work in HVAC. Some of my hobbies are playing piano, watching a good movie, and philosophy. I have been dating a girl named Jenna, who is studying to be a nurse, for little over a year now. I go to Faith Baptist Church where I have been a member for 5 years. I serve at Faith on the youth and adult worship teams, teach the rising 9th grade Sunday class, and Wednesday night youth meetings where I have had many opportunities to teach both middle school and high school.
The Lord has called me to full time ministry and my desire and gifting are tilted towards pastoral ministry in a church plant/revitalization context either in the states or overseas.”

VBS Volunteering |

This year the elementary school department is looking for youth volunteers to help with the VBS event. This is a great way for your kids have fun while serving the church community while also getting volunteer service hours. On Thursday and Friday the hours will be from 5:30-8:15PM, and on Saturday from 10AM- 12:30PM. If interested, please let Danny전도사님 know. |

Prayer Requests
- Please pray for the youth retreat preparations to go well and for the students’ hearts to be prepared to meet with the Lord.
- Please pray for myself to have wisdom and God’s guidance with preparing sermons and youth activities.
- Please pray for the youth teachers to be strengthened and encouraged to disciple the students well who are under their loving care.
