이번 5월이 현재의 성경공부반과 함께 보내는 마지막 달입니다. 진급 주일은 6/11일 입니다. 그 주일에 학생들이 다음 학년으로 올라가게 됩니다. 이 주일에 현재 5학년들이 초등부에서 유스 그룹으로 올라오게 되고, 현재 12학년들은 EM 이나 KM 청년부로 올라가게 됩니다. 또한 유스 선생님들은 다음 표와 같이 새로운 반을 맡시시게 되십니다

7학년과 12학년은 두 반으로 나누게 됩니다. 12학년 반은 숫자가 많아서 지금 이미 2개로 나누어져 있어서, 새로운 편성은 아닙니다. 한 가지 다른 점은, 12A 반은 여자아이들만이고, 12B 반은 남자아이들반 입니다. 올라가는 7학년 (현재 6학년) 도 여자아이들반 (7A) 와 혼성반 (7B) 로 나누어 지게 됩니다. 3명의 남자 학생들을 한 반에 배정하기 위해서, 이렇게 편성하게 되었습니다.

또 한가지 다른 점은, 7학년과 8학년이 현재는 한 반인데, 새로운 학기에는 따로 나누어지게 된다는 것입니다. 보람 선생님께서 8학년반을 맡고, 줄리 선생님께서 9학년 반을 맡으시겠습니다.

 

다가오는 행사들

Senior Banquet (졸업생 만찬)	5월 27일 (토) 5:30 pm	함께 오셔서 5명의 졸업생의 졸업을, 맛있는 저녁, 오락, 그리고 게임을 통해서 축하하는 자리입니다. 졸업생들이 각자 특별한 발표를 하게 되고, 이 만찬에는 모든 유스가 올 수 있습니다.
End of School Lock-In (학년말 락인)	TBA 추후공지	유스 학생들이 하루밤을 같이 보내며, 게임도 하고, 교제도 하게 됩니다.
Summer Youth Retreat 여름 수련회	Sunday August 6th – Wed August 9th	여름 수련회 날짜가 정해졌습니다. 학생들이 수련회에 참석할 수 있도록 여름 계획들을 세워 주시면 감사하겠습니다. 장소는 Camp Oak Hill 입니다. https://campoakhill.org/

 

기도 부탁드립니다.

• 계속해서 저와 저의 아내가 태중에 아기와 관련된 어려움들을 잘 헤쳐 나갈 수 있도록 기도해 주시면 감사하겠습니다. 5월말에 유도분만으로 출산을 계획하고 있습니다.
• 유스 그룹에 성경공부를 가르칠 교사 선생님들이 절실하게 필요합니다. 또한 여름 수련회를 도울 리더들, 락인을 도울 자원 봉사자 (성인)도 필요합니다. 하나님께서 사람들을 보내 주시도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다.

These are exciting times for Hanmaum Youth Group as we look forward to the Summer months

Announcements:

Starting in the month of May, our Sunday schedule will be pushed back half an hour. Please refer to the table below:

This May is the last full month we have without current Sunday School classes, and Hanmaum promotion Sunday is June 11^th. This is the Sunday in which all the students will be moved up to their respective grades in the upcoming school year. This means that the current 5^th grade class will move up to youth group from the Elementary Sunday School, and the current 12^th grade class will transition to English Ministry or Korean Ministry young adults. This is also the Sunday in youth teachers will be assigned their new Sunday School classes. The new class assignments are listed below:

Note that the 7^th grade class and 12^th grade classes are split. This is nothing new for the rising 12^th grade class (current 11^th grade class), which has already been split into two groups because of the number of students. The only difference is that next year, the 12A class will be female students only and 12B will be male students only. The rising 7^th grade class will also be split, with an all female class (7A)  and a co-ed class (7B), in order to keep the three boys from being separated.

The other difference to note is that the 7^th and 8^th grade class which was previously lumped together has now been separated. Boram 선생님 will keep the rising 8^th grade students while Julie Lee 선생님 will take over the 9^th grade students.    

Upcoming Events

Senior Banquet	Saturday, May 27th 5:30 pm	Come celebrate our five graduating seniors with an evening of great food, entertainment, and games. The Seniors will prepare a special presentation, and unlike last year, this event is open to the entire youth group.
End of School Lock-In	To be determined	After the Senior banquet, the youth students will stay overnight at church to play games and enjoy fellowship time with one another.
Summer Youth Retreat	Sunday August 6th – Wed August 9th	Our summer youth retreat dates have been determined. Please make plans to send your students with us to Camp Oak Hill for this summer’s youth retreat. More details to come.

 

Prayer Requests

< >Please pray for myself and my wife Jeanie as we continue to navigate difficulties with her pregnancy. We are expecting to induce labor at the end of May. The youth group is in desperate need for volunteers for Sunday school teaching, for chaperoning the youth retreat, and for the upcoming lock-in. Please pray that God will provide workers for his harvest.
