To Hanmaum Youth and Parents:
Happy New Year!
This is an exciting moment as we turn our eyes toward a brand-new year! It means we get to start a whole new calendar. The amazing thing about last year is the unexpected way our lives had to change and adapt. Yet as a result of these changes, we changed as a community and appreciate small things like face-to-face meetings, in-person worship services, and less time on our screens. What new changes and blessings await us in 2021?
We continue in the book of Luke through January. This is a particularly amazing gospel book that not only directly speaks to us, but also helps to focus on how God’s plan always included the nations. This is an extremely important time for our students as they directly examine the good news of Christ for themselves.
This month let us pray for the New Year ahead and dedicate every one of the days to worshipping and glorifying the Lord! We pray for safety as many schools resume in-person teaching. We also want to pray for the country as a new President takes office. May 2021 be a year where we draw visibly closer to God.
Soli Deo Gloria,
- Bernard Chung
