Greetings of Grace and Mercy!
The season of Spring, Lent, and Resurrection Sunday is upon us! Though we never really had a winter freeze, it seems like the sunny and warm days are near again. We can start tucking away jackets and preparing for a whole new season. With that, we also get to close out our studies in the Pentateuch. It has been a wonderful lesson in God’s graciousness and goodness to walk through the last 2 books of the Torah. Now we prepare to jump into the book of Romans!
This month will be marked by the celebration of Lent. During this time, we consecrate our hearts so that we can desire God more clearly and acutely. We look toward God through active engagement with the scriptures, fasting from a usual treat, and containment of our Christian freedom. Our hunger for God, during Lent, is especially sharpened that our hunger for other things will grow faint and fade away.
Please pray for one another and the church during this season of Lent. Please also pray for the world and those affected by the coronavirus. May this month be a time of blessing and realization of experiencing God more dearly!
Soli Deo Gloria,
- Bernard Chung
